Welcome to Backtalk Demonstration Site's Backtalk Conferencing System!
Backtalk Demonstration Site is proud to provide a system that will permit public
discussion on topics of interest to our community.
To participate in the conferences, you need an account. To get an account,
just fill in the form.
If you prefer, you can read the conferences without logging in by
leaving the login box blank above.
If you do this, you will not be able to post
and Backtalk will not remember what you have already seen.
Backtalk can support multiple interfaces to the same conferences, called
``flavors''. The flavors installed at this site are:
The abalone flavor provides a good-looking interface, but it may be slower
than pistachio. It uses pulldown command menus and occasional pop-up prompt
boxes. Note: Your browser does not appear to be fully capable of handling abalone.
The pistachio interface offers a full range of features with a
rather plain push-button based interface. It will perform well on
almost any browser. Note: Your browser does not appear to be fully capable of handling pistachio.
The bubblegum interface is a simplified kid-oriented interface originally
developed for the Booktalk system. It will work on most modern browsers. Note: Your browser does not appear to be fully capable of handling bubblegum.
The vanilla interface is text-oriented, with very verbose command options.
It is missing many features, but will work with most any browser,
including non-graphical browsers.
The Papaya interface offers a familiar environment to users accustomed to
Web Yapp. Note: Your browser does not appear to be fully capable of handling papaya.
